Material Testing

As an ISO/IEC accredited material testing laboratory. Soil Instruments (M) Sdn. Bhd. conducts mechanical, physical and chemical testing on soils, rocks / aggregates, asphalt, binders, concrete, bricks, cementitious materials, dimension stones, steel and paint work. Above that, we also provide in-situ testing services such as field density test, CBR, pavement and concrete coring, pull out test, plate bearing test and assessment of structures amongst others. We are also licensed to conduct field testing using the Troxler Nuclear moisture / density gauge.

Over the years, we have successfully set up and manage on site QA/QC material testing laboratory for several prominent as well as smaller scale projects to meet our clients’ requirements namely, the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project (KVMRT), Electrified Double Track Railway Project, Hulu Terengganu Hydroelectric Project, Mengkuang Dam Expansion Project, Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer Project, Sewage Treatment Plant Project in Malaysia and others.

Our partnership with IMM SA of Switzerland, a renowned and ISO/CEI 17025 accredited material testing facility with expertise on materials technology, enhances our repertoire of services to include advanced material testing and consulting services.
